UNION GAP, Wash.- A two-car crash on I-82 in Union Gap injured six people, including four teenagers on Saturday, July 6.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 73-year-old Wapato woman driving a 2000 Chevy Tahoe swerved off the highway near milepost 38, rolled and hit a a 24-year-old Tieton woman driving a 2023 Subaru Legacy. The Subaru driver and four teenagers, ages 13, 13, 16 and 17, riding in the Chevy were taken to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital.
The 73-year-old was taken to Harborview Medical.
WSP and emergency responders closed the highway for over an hour. The crash is still under investigation and officials do not believe drugs and alcohol were involved.
