Single? Seattle could be the city for you

MIAMI, FL.-With 47 percent of all adults in the U.S. unmarried, the personal finance website WalletHub released its report for the best and worst cities for singles in 2024, as well as some tips for singles.

To figure out the most single-friendly cities, WalletHub compared 180 cities across 35 indicators of dating-friendliness within the metrics of economics, fun/recreation and dating opportunities.

According to WalletHub, Seattle is the most single-friendly city in the country.

“Seattle offers tons of date options, from iconic attractions like the Space Needle and the city’s music scene to outdoor activities at parks and beaches,” said Cassandra Happe, WalletHub Analyst.

Portland, another iconic Northwest city, rounded out the top 10 most single-friendly cities. WalletHub’s full report on single-friendly cities is available online.
