KELLOGG, Idaho – The Silver Mountain ski area has officially closed for Friday, Jan. 31, due to unusually high winds.
Silver Mountain made the announcement Friday morning after originally putting its gondola on windhold.
“Sorry for the inconvenience this causes,” Silver Mountain wrote.
The National Weather Service says a high-wind watch is in place for several areas around the Inland Northwest.
