KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. – Update Sunday, Sept. 29 5:09 p.m. Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is asking hunters near Kittitas County to help in the search for 88-year-old William “Charlie” Martin.
KCSO said on Sunday the area they are searching is a popular hunting area. Officials are asking any hunters who might have motion-sensitive game cameras in the area to check their photo feed or camera for any information that may lead to Martin.
Martin’s family reported him missing out of Wenatchee on Tues., Sept. 24. Searchers found his car abandoned in a remote area near Colockum Road in Kittitas County. Martin has dementia, according to his family.
KCSO said law enforcement from across the region including, from Chelan, Pierce, Yakima, Snohomish, and King Counties, as well as Wenatchee Valley Fire have joined the search. The expanded search teams brought with them drones, dogs and off-road vehicles.
Anyone who has seen Martin in the last three days are asked to contact KITTCOM at 509-925-8534 and to give information to SAR Deputy Ellis Nale.
