YAKIMA, Wash.-Sidewalks will be closed near the old Bank of America building at the corner of 2nd Street and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way in Yakima starting Wednesday, Oct. 9.
There will also be no parking in the area as crews with the City of Yakima replace sidewalks and plant trees to replace ones that had to be removed due to damage.
According to the city, street lights will also be added to the front of the Bank of America building during the project and one light at the southwest corner of the intersection will be replaced.
Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures during the project that is expected to last until Thanksgiving weekend.
