TOPPENISH, Wash. – The Safe Yakima Valley Toppenish Coalition is hosting a Shreds & Meds event on Tue., Aug. 6, per the City of Toppenish.
The free event lets attendees shred items that contain personal information like outdated financial records, old checks and credit card statements and safely dispose of old prescription medication with no questions asked.
Free Narcan is also available while supplies last.
The event takes place at 20 Asotin Ave. in the parking lot behind the Toppenish Public Pool from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Parking for the nearby National Night Out will be street parking only.
