YAKIMA, Wash. – Shreds & Meds, hosted by the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, Yakima County Crime Stoppers and Safe Yakima Valley, returns on Sat., Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents can bring old and outdated financial records, checks, credit card statements and other documents with personal and financial information to be shredded.
Anyone with unused or expired prescription medications can drop them off for safe disposal.
Documents and medications must be clearly separated. There is not cost for the service, however donations are accepted and appreciated.
The event takes place at the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce at 10 N. 9th St. in Yakima.
