YAKIMA, Wash.-Local businesses are invited to join the Downtown Association of Yakima’s annual Small Business Saturday celebration on Nov. 30.
“Local small businesses are essential to our community’s progress and embody its unique spirit,” said Toni McLavey, regional business manager for Pacific Power, the presenting sponsor of this year’s Small Business Saturday.
The theme of this year’s Small Business Saturday is “Shop Small, Shine Bright” and businesses are encouraged to light up Yakima this holiday season, according to a DAY press release.
Businesses interested in participating in Small Business Saturday can register at downtownyakima.org.
“Small Business Saturday provides a powerful platform to attract holiday shoppers, showcase local goods, and celebrate the uniqueness that each business brings to downtown Yakima,” said Breanna Stratton, Events Coordinator for DAY.
Shoppers can pick up a free tote bag and Small Business Saturday passport to earn stamps and enter drawings at the DAY office at 14 S. 1st Street and will be able to vote fore their favorite holiday decorations at participating businesses.
“We’re inviting all downtown businesses to be part of this vibrant holiday tradition and help us create a memorable experience for our community,” said Stratton.
