Sherman Pass sees Halloween snowfall

COLVILLE NATIONAL FOREST, Wash.-Sherman Pass is seeing its first significant snowfall of the season.

The Halloween snowfall on SR 20 had Washington Department of Transportation crews out clearing and treating the roadway, according to a social media post.

Although it’s still fall, the early snow is a valuable reminder to slow down in wintry conditions and to make sure your car is equipped with chains and emergency supplies.

WSDOT is also reminding drivers to slow down and give plows plenty of room to work on mountain passes.
