RICHLAND, Wash. -UPDATE. SEPT. 25.-Hotspots in the shed fire that burned twice on the Hanford High campus over the weekend continue to reignite.
According to the Richland Fire Department, the flare ups are being caused by the warm, breezy weather.
The Richland School District is positioning sprinklers to keep the shed wet throughout the day and the RFD plans to check the area every couple of hours.
A blowing dust advisory for the area goes into effect this afternoon and the RFD is asking anyone who sees smoke or flames coming from the shed to call 911.

An outbuilding at Hanford High School caught fire early Saturday morning before reigniting Sunday afternoon.
Richland Fire Battalion Chief, Brenda Rogers, said the day’s heat most likely re-kindled the shed. Rogers said crews were scheduled to be checking on the fire periodically but arrived late on Sunday due to the Ironman Race.
In a Facebook post, the Richland School District said today’s fire caused the roof to collapse and firefighters focused on extinguishing the inside of the destroyed building.
The district barricaded the shed off for public safety and investigations into the cause of the fire will begin tomorrow.
