KENNEWICK, Wash. – A fire burned down a shed in Kennewick on Monday, according to Benton County Fire District 1.
BCFD1 says the shed, which was fully destroyed in the fire, was in the area of South Jurupa Street off of Reata Road.
BCFD1 Public Information Officer Jenna Kochenauer says no one was injured in the fire. The cause is being investigated, however it may have been started by a mechanical issue with a lawnmower that the homeowner tried to start up.
The fire is now out, according to BCFD1, however commuters may see black smoke north of I-82 between the Badger Road and Dallas Road exits.
