Several local football players named to All-State teams

TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Members of the Washington State Football Coaches Association voted on all-state teams for each classification for the first time in 2023 and several players from the Mid-Columbia made the teams that were announced on Jan. 15.

Regional players to make all-state by classification:

Class 4A:

Defensive MVP: David Kuku, Kamiakin, Jr.

RB: Camden Schmidt, Kamiakin, Sr.

WR: Kyson Thomas, Moses Lake, Sr.

OL: Landon Biglin, Kamiakin, Jr.

OL: Santiago Casa, Sunnyside, Sr.

First Team Defense:

LB: Cooper McPherson, Chiawana, Jr.

Class 3A:

WR: David Wacenske, Kennewick, Sr.

OL: Nathan Knapik, Kennewick, Sr.
