TRI-CITIES, Wash.-The Holiday season is here once again which means it’s time for lighted parades and community celebrations. Here’s a list to some of the lighted festivities around the region.
Kittitas Lighted Parade: Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. Parade is organized by the City of Kittitas Events Committee and will travel down Main Street in Kittitas. The festivities will also include pictures with Santa and vendors.
Yakima Christmas Parade: Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Parade will start on 6th Avenue in front of the Salvation Army and end on 3rd Avenue in front of the Capitol Theater.
Union Gap Lighted Holiday Parade: Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Parade will start at Yakima Street and 4002 Main Street and then travel north up Main Street to Valley Mall Boulevard before ending in the Sears parking lot at Valley Mall.
Toppenish Lighted Parade: Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. Parade forms at Toppenish Chamber of Commerce. Parade route heads east on West 1st Ave., turning north on South Toppenish Ave. going through downtown ending at the Northern Pacific Railroad Museum, Train Depot. The festivities will include a Christmas Tree lighting in the Post Office parking lot at 5:30 p.m.
Selah Parade: Dec. 6 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Parade will start in the Selah Middle School parking lot before moving onto Wernex Loop Rd, down 1st St and end at the Civic Center.
Sunnyside Kids Lighted Parade: Dec. 6 at 6:30. Parade will start at Centennial Square Gazebo and prizes will be awarded in different categories.
Sunnyside Lighted Parade: Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. The oldest farm implement parade in the nation will start on Reith Way then go left to Edison Ave and northwest on Zillah Ave before ending on Warehouse Ave.
Benton City Lighted Parade: Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. Parade will start at Ki-Be Middle School and end at Babs Avenue and 9th Street. Festivities will include Sweaty Sweater fun, a Holiday Bazaar and a tree lighting at 6 p.m.
Kennewick Hometown Holiday Parade: Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. Parade in downtown Kennewick will feature photos with Santa, mini horses and hot cocoa.
Walla Walla Parade of Lights: Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. Starts at Alder and Fifth, travels east on Alder to Spokane, then from Main to Sixth.
Hermiston Lighted Parade: Dec. 5 at 5:30. The parade will make one pass along main street, then loop back around via Hurlburt and park along Main Street to display vehicle/implement and watch the Tree Lighting.
Pendleton Holiday Lighted Parade: Dec. 14 at 4:30 p.m. Parade will travel down Main Street.
