SELAH, Wash.-Weekly lane closures on I-82 near Selah will impact traffic starting on Monday, July 22.
The closures are necessary as Department of Transportation crews and contractors repair a damaged sewer treatment system at the eastbound I-82 Selah Safety Rest Area.
Both directions of I-82 will be closed during the week at milepost 21 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, until mid-September, according to the Department of Transportation.
WSDOT crews found tears in the liner of the lagoon-style septic system at the rest area in May and will now work to remove the damaged liner and install a new one.
According to WSDOT, drivers in the area will experience minor delays.
