WALLA WALLA, Wash.- A semi-truck trailer tire caught fire and blocked traffic near Walla Walla.
According to Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, a semi-truck was driving westbound on Highway 12.
The left rear tire on the semi-truck trailer caught fire.
According to Stites, the driver stopped at milepost 313 and used their personal fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
Touchet Fire Department responded at 7:44 p.m. to help fully put out the flames.
By 7:50 p.m. the trailer was out of the way and the fire was extinguished.
No other cars were involved and no injuries were reported.
