KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. – Two hikers in Kittitas County east of Entiat were saved by Kittitas County Search & Rescue and Kittitas County Sheriffs on Wed., April 24.
KCSO says one hiker took a wrong step, felt a pop and a crack in her knee and fell 10 feet down a forested hillside. The two used the SOS feature on an iPhone to contact KITTCOM from Naneum Canyon.
KCSO and KCSR hiked to the injured hiker and brought her back to Naneum Road to bring her to a nearby hospital.
KCSO notes that the two hikers were a “great example” and were well prepared with gear and water while waiting for help to arrive.
