TRI-CITIES, Wash.-The Salvation Army and Old Navy are making sure some local students are dressed for success as they head back to school this week.
The Salvation Army Northwest and Old Navy partnered to provide clothing for 800 students in need around the Northwest, including 22 in the Tri-Cities, according to a press release on the event.
Volunteers with the Salvation Army will be shopping with the children selected for the clothing at the Old Navy in Kennewick on Aug. 26, with each child receiving $150 worth of clothing.
The Salvation Army Northwest has been working to provide school clothes to children in need for 30 years and the back to school shopping event is completely funded by donors, according to the organization.
