OLYMPIA, Wash.-Rule changes regarding Chinook and Coho salmon fishing and retention on the Snake River is now in effect through October 29.
According to the Department of Fish and Wildlife the rule changes concerning retention are possible because the return of coho this season from the Nez Perce Tribe’s hatchery program in the Snake River basin is large enough to meet broodstock needs, allow natural spawning, and provide harvest opportunities.
Anglers should continue to check for any updated rules and regulations concerning salmon fishing with the WDFW.
