Russian priests took to the sky Wednesday to bless a city with holy water to protect it from drunkenness and lust.
According to local media, the total amount of holy water used on the aerial blessing was around 18 gallons. Once in the air, strapped in a harness, the local priest started a prayer service and poured the holy water out of the plane’s open door.
Tver, a city of 400,000 is located between Moscow and St. Petersburg, 110 miles northwest to the capital.
