RICHLAND, Wash.-Looking for a fun, physical activity to enjoy post-Thanksgiving? If you’re planning to skip the malls in search of adventure instead of bargains the Chamnaramna scavenger hunt is for you.
The Shrub Steppe Trails Alliance, which works to preserve trails and greenspace in the region, is hosting a ride/run/walk scavenger hunt in the Chamna Nature Preserve in Richland on Friday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Santas will be hidden throughout the preserve for attendees to find, with prizes for the most santas collected in different categories, including by bike and running.
A base camp will be set up in the main parking lot as a starting point with a fire pit and donuts. The event is free, however, participants are encouraged to buy raffle tickets or donate to the Shrub Steppe Trails Alliance.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase with prizes ranging from a gym membership to gift baskets.
The Chamna Nature Preserve is located at 1200 Carrier Rd. in Richland.
