Firefighters in Yakima responded to an electrical fire in a commercial truck garage Tuesday, January 14.
According to West Valley Fire Lieutenant Andrew Pfaff, the roof of the building in the 14000 block of Wide Hollow Road collapsed on an electrical panel, sparking the fire.
Fire crews had just cleared the scene of a nearby house fire when the garage fire was reported.
As a result, crews were able to respond quickly to the fire on Wide Hollow Road at 4:45 p.m. and extinguish the fire within 45 minutes, said Lt. Pfaff.
While the roof collapse is believed to have sparked the fire, Lt. Pfaff said he does not know what caused the roof to fall.
No one was injured. Wide Hollow Road is now open.
