LOS ANGELES, Cal.-Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” released in 1958, is currently the number one song in the country, according to the Billboard Hot 100.

Lee, 78, is now the oldest woman to top the Hot 100, taking the top spot for the Christmas classic she recorded at the age of 13, according to NBC news reporting on the past and present hit.

“The song came out when I was a young teenager and now to know that it has resonated with multiple generations and continues to resonate — it is one of the best gifts I have ever received,” Lee said in a statement regarding the 65th anniversary of her song.
