Richland’s Reach Museum hosts Earth Day with wildlife and history exhibits

RICHLAND, Wash. – The Reach Museum welcomed visitors of all ages for its third annual Earth Day celebration Saturday, April 19.

Several organizations set up booths to engage with visitors, offering insights on environmental protection. The event also featured exhibits focused on the region’s wildlife, geology, and human history.

Pauline Schafer, the education manager at the Reach Museum, shared her thoughts on the event’s impact over the years.

“The realization that those, the ways that we can live a healthy lifestyle, which includes connecting with nature, being outside more, eating healthy food. A lot of those things will help us live lighter on the planet and lessen our impact,” Schafer said.

Schafer highlighted the importance of such events in educating the public about the environment and fostering a sustainable future.
