RICHLAND, Wash. – The Richland School District announced its selection for its new Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education on Tuesday in a press release.
Dr. Bryan Jones, Assistant Superintendent of the Burlington-Edison School District, was selected for his experience as a coach, teacher and principal along with several central office administrator roles.
“Students and staff in the Richland School District will benefit greatly from the leadership Dr. Jones will bring to the position,” said Superintendent Dr. Shelley Redinger. “He values strong relationships and is focused on creating a sense of belonging for each student, family and staff member. I am thrilled to have him join our team.”
Along with working in schools, Dr. Jones has held board of director positions for community organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of Skagit County and the Burlington Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a teaching certificate from Washington State University, a master’s degree in education and a principal certificate from City University in Seattle and a doctorate in education and a superintendent certificate from the University of Washington.
“I am honored to be chosen to continue the great work being done in the Richland School District,” said Dr. Jones. “I look forward to developing lifelong relationships rooted in trust where I can work with staff, students and families to achieve a common vision of educational success.”
