RICHLAND, Wash. – According to Benton County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Eisinger, 34-year-old Alexander Callahan was found and arrested in Mexico on Dec. 11 for charges of child rape from 2014.
Callahan was investigated by the Richland Police Department on Mar. 24, 2014 on allegations of sexually assaulting a child.
Investigations showed that Callahan had sexual contact with a child on multiple occasions over an extended period of time. He was arrested the next day without incident.
According to court documents, Callahan failed to appear in court on Oct. 27, 2014 for his change plea after paying bond.
Eisinger says Callahan’s extradition is in progress and he will be brought back to Benton County eventually.
