RICHLAND, Wash. – A house in Richland was fully lost in a fire on Tuesday, according to Fire Chief Tom Huntington from the Richland Fire Department.
Huntington says reports of the fire on Perkins Avenue near Van Giesen Street came in at around 4:10 p.m. Crews arrived to find the entire interior of the house engulfed in flames with fire shooting out of its windows.
Witnesses also reported loud popping coming from the home before crews arrived.
No one was injured in the fire, per Huntington, and it is being “wrapped up.” An investigation into the cause is underway and Perkins Avenue will remain closed for the next several hours.
