Richland Fire to celebrate new station with grand opening ceremony Sept. 17

RICHLAND, Wash. – The Richland Fire Department is opening a new fire station on Tue., Sept. 17 and celebrating with a grand opening ceremony featuring refreshments and a guided tour.

Fire Station 76 is located in the Badger South area on Trowbridge Boulevard off Dallas Road and I-82, an area that RFD says has expanding housing developments, parks, commercial areas and an upcoming school.

The facility is 10,850 square feet in size and features dedicated space for police officers, allowing for them to stay close throughout their shifts.

The grand opening takes place at 11 a.m. All residents are invited to meet the fire and emergency personnel.
