
RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland will celebrate Arbor Day with a community tree planting event at Craighill Park on Friday at 1:00 p.m., featuring students from Lewis and Clark Elementary School.
The event highlights Richland’s commitment to being a “Tree City USA” and “Tree Line USA” community. Parks & Public Facilities Director Chris Waite will deliver opening remarks, followed by a proclamation from Mayor Theresa Richardson.
Students will learn about tree planting techniques through a demonstration before helping to plant three trees in the park. This event underscores the city’s dedication to environmental stewardship and community involvement.
