UMATILLA, Ore.- Reports of a bear in Wetlands Park have prompted the deployment of a non-lethal trap.
According to a Facebook post made by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, A bear trap has been deployed in the Wetlands Community Park.
The trap was deployed by the CTUIR Wildlife Program. The trap is non-lethal and only designed for bears.
You are asked to avoid the area until the bear is gone. According to the CTUIR, the trap is not a toy and children should not be playing on or around the trap.
