Report: Gen Z drivers are the worst on the road

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Gen Z drivers are the worst on the road, according to a recent report from the online lending marketplace LendingTree.

LendingTree’s report looked at each type of driving infraction by generation among the Silent Generation (ages 78-96), Baby Boomers (ages 70-78), Gen X (ages 44-59), Millenials (ages 27-42) and Gen Z (ages 11-26).

According to LendingTree’s report, Gen Z drivers (ages 18-26) are the drivers with the highest rates of accidents, DUI’s and speeding tickets. The full report is available online.

Gen Z drivers had 49 driving incidents per 1,000 drivers, according to LendingTree’s report, while the Silent Generation (ages 78-96) were the best drivers, with only 19 incidents per 1,000 drivers.
