WALLA WALLA, Wash.-Registration for the Walla Walla Police Department’s Community Police Academy is now open.
The Community Police Academy uses classroom education and interaction with law enforcement and the judicial community.
According to the WWPD, the goal of the academy is to help community members gain a hands-on understanding of how law enforcement agencies and the judicial system work.
Anyone over age 18 is encouraged to apply for the Community Police Academy. Registration can be completed online and selection for attendance will be made by Oct. 18.
