Recall hearing scheduled for Yakima Coroner Jim Curtice who allegedly stole drugs while working

YAKIMA, Wash.- Following charges files in Dec. A recall hearing was scheduled for Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice.

On Dec. 19, Charges were filed against Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice for violating his oath of office.

A recall hearing has been scheduled for Jan 10 at 9:30 a.m.

The recall hearing will determine the sufficiency of recall charges and for approval of the ballot synopsis.

According to court documents due to conflict of interest Yakima City Legal requested Ellensburg City Prosecutors Office handle the case.

City Attorney Aaron Reiman with the Ellensburg City Attorney’s Office, requesting the following charges:

Making a false or misleading statement to a public servantOfficial MisconductTampering with physical evidence

According to Aaron Reiman, who is acting as a special deputy prosecuting attorney in this case, the following three misdemeanor charges will be filed against Jim Curtice in this case but have yet to be officially filed

Official Misconduct Tampering with physical evidenceMaking False or misleading statements to a law enforcement officer
