A pair of racing gloves worn by Princess Diana on a fun karting day out with her sons is up for auction.

The late royal visited Buckmore Park in Kent with Princes William and Harry for a private karting experience on July 9, 1992.

The red Nomex branded gloves offered are the ones she wore whilst driving. They are estimated at $8,916 to $11,464.

Iconic Auctioneers said: “First auctioned to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and subsequently featured on the TV show Four Rooms around 12 years ago, this is the first time they have been offered for auction in over 25 years.”

The gloves come framed and with a plaque reading “Worn by H.R.H Princess Diana Princess of Wales 9-7-92.”

A Certificate of Authenticity adds: “Princes William and Harry brought several of their school friends for the day.”

The gloves will be auctioned on Aug. 25 at the Silverstone Festival.
