YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Valley Quilters’ Guild’s quilt show “Quilts in the City” is set for May 17 and 18 at the Yakima Convention Center.
Nearly 400 quilts created by quilters from the Yakima Valley and throughout the Northwest will be on display at this year’s show entitled “Where Colors Come True.”
Nancy Ramsey, a member of the Yakima Valley Quilters’ Guild, is this year’s featured artist and will have several quilts showcasing her creative techniques on display.
The quilt show will also feature a “To Bee or Not To B” challenge where quilters create a small quilt based on their interpretation of the challenge title.
Vendors selling various fabrics, patterns and quilting tools, as well as a quilters boutique selling quilted items will also be available, according to a Yakima Valley Quilters’ Guild press release on the show.
“Quilts in the City” runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 17 and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 18. Admission is $12 and is good for both days.
