YAKIMA, Wash.-A public meeting is scheduled for October 24 for residents to comment on the Community Wildfire Protection Plan for Yakima County.
Yakima Valley Emergency Management and Yakima County are hosting the meeting at 4:00 p.m., in the Core Room at 2403 S. 18th Street in Union Gap.
According to a YVEM press release the Community Wildfire Protection Plan is a planning document to guide wildfire preparedness, response and recovery efforts and actions throughout Yakima County.
The document can be viewed online prior to the meeting.
