PROSSER, Wash.-The suspect in a drive-by shooting on the morning of Jan. 8 was arrested north of Sunnyside.
According to a social media post from Mabton Police, the suspect left the area after the shooting, however, the Prosser PD’s investigation led them to an address in Sunnyside.
Sunnyside Police, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office and the Mabton Police all responded to the situation and a drone was launched to help search for the suspect.
The suspect was located and left the area, leading police on a high-speed chase before being stopped north of Sunnyside. According to Mabton Police, the suspect was reportedly armed at the time of their arrest.
