Pride events, second annual parade set for Ellensburg on June 1

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash.-Pride events, including a parade are set for Ellensburg the first weekend of June.

The nonprofit Helen House, that provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, will host a Pint Night at Iron Horse Brewery from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, with $1 from every pint sold going to the nonprofit.

On Friday, May 31 the Kittitas Cafe will host a Pride Disco from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring live music, according to Kittitas County Pride.

The second annual Kittitas County Pride Parade is Saturday, June 1 starting at 11 a.m.

The parade will start at 7th and Poplar and run down Chestnut St. to 5th Ave, westbound along 5th Ave, and through downtown before returning along the same route.

No parking will be available along the parade route and signage will be in place as of 9 a.m. on the day of the parade, according to the Ellensburg Police Department.

The Odd Fellows Lodge of Ellensburg will then host a Drag Show from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
