SELAH, Wash. – A power outage in Yakima and Selah impacted nearly 14,000 customers, according to Pacific Power.
Pacific Power says the cause was due to a “loss of transmission” and that power is restored to almost all residents.
The outage was confirmed by Pacific Power to be related to the wildfire at Harlan Landing. A representative said the outage is an “emergency de-energization,” meaning that crews shut off the power to prevent further damages.
The Selah Police Department asked drivers to use all powerless traffic signals like a four way stop.
