KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -According to the Puget Sound Energy outage map, there is a power outage near Cle Elum Lake impacting approximately 851 customers.
According to the outage details, this outage started around 4:50 p.m. on January 13 and the estimated restoration time for the power to be returned is 3:00 a.m. on January 14.
Puget Sound Energy is asking its customers to conserve natural gas and electricity use throughout the night. According to their post on Facebook, the extreme cold temperatures in the area are resulting in a higher energy use than PSE expected, which is putting a strain on PSE’s grid.
PSE asks their customers to set their thermostates at lower settings and limit use of hot water, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers and other appliances.
