YAKIMA, Wash.-A pollinator garden will be installed in Yakima’s West Valley Community Park on Sept. 28.
The 16-by-16 foot garden at the park’s 75th Avenue cul de sac will include native plants to attract butterflies, bees and other pollinators, according to the City of Yakima.
Yakima Rotaract, a sub-group of the Rotary created the pollinator garden project with the City of Yakima’s Parks and Recreation Department. Educational signage is expected to be installed at the garden at a later date.
