YAKIMA, Wash.-The community is invited to the Yakima Police Department’s 2024 Police Week Memorial Service in Sarg Hubbard Park at 4 p.m. on May 16.
The ceremony will pay tribute to officers lost in 2023 and all officers who have given their lives to keep local communities safe, according to a YPD social media post.
National Police Week is an annual opportunity for law enforcement, survivors, families of fallen officers and communities to honors and remember fallen law enforcement officers.
This year National Police Week is May 12-18.
Yakima’s Police Week Memorial Service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Wall in Sarg Hubbard Park located at 111 S. 18th Street.
