Police issue two DUIs after intoxicated drivers cause unrelated car crashes in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash.- Police have booked two different drivers for DUIs after both individuals crashed another car while driving intoxicated.

According to the Richland Police Department, the first driver rear-ended another car on Keene Road at Lincoln Landing near Gold’s Gym around 9 p.m. Police say the driver tried to switch places with the passenger before police arrived.

The second accident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on Williams Blvd and Jadwin Ave. The driver ran a red light and crashed into another car.

Both drivers were booked at Benton County Jail. Police warn drivers to take necessary precautions to avoid drunk or buzzed driving.
