YAKIMA, Wash.- The Yakima Police Department (YPD) is investigating the shooting death of a man found in the area of North 6th Avenue and East ‘F’ Street on Monday, August 26.
Officers say they arrived on the scene just after 7:25 p.m. to find a 37-year-old Yakima man suffering from gunshot wounds.
First responders performed life-saving measures on the victim, however, he succumbed to his injuries.
Although officials suspect the incident was gang-related, YPD’s Criminal Investigation Division will investigate the homicide.
