MANY GLACIER, Mont. – Visitors planning to explore Many Glacier this fall should prepare for limited parking due to construction in the Swiftcurrent area. The only available parking will be at the Many Glacier Hotel parking lot.
Rangers may temporarily restrict entry to the valley if it becomes too congested. All hiking destinations in the area can be accessed from the Many Glacier Hotel parking area, and detours are clearly signed and marked.
Additionally, services in the valley will be limited as most commercial facilities and the campground have closed for the season. Visitors should also note that there is no potable water in the Many Glacier valley, and they will need to bring all their drinking water for the day.
For those considering other destinations, the St. Mary and Two Medicine valleys offer many options for hikes and scenic views.
