YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Police Traffic Unit is investigating a car versus pedestrian crash on the morning of Feb. 29, that left one person in critical condition.
Officers responded to the intersection of W. Nob Hill Boulevard and S. 10th Avenue around 6:20 a.m.
According to the YPD, witnesses reported that the pedestrian, a 29-year-old man, was crossing Nob Hill from north to south, while traffic had the right-of-way.
The pedestrian was hit by a truck driven by a 70-year-old man driving east and was transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital to be treated for head injuries.
The pedestrian is in critical, but stable condition, according to a YPD social media post and he is expected to be transported to Harborview for further treatment.
