KPD Patrol Officer Alex Holden says the pedestrian hit in the crash died at a hospital.
The woman who was hit, who has not been identified at this time, according to the KPD, was transported to Kadlec, where she died from her injuries.
KPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash and the car that was involved
The crash was initially believed to be a hit-and-run, however, the driver stopped on a nearby street, contacted law enforcement and reported their involvement.

A hit-and-run crash gave a pedestrian life-threatening injuries Tuesday night in Kennewick, according to the Kennewick Police Department.
KPD says at around 7:14 p.m., a female pedestrian was hit on West 10th Avenue near South Johnson Street. The woman was unresponsive and emergency personnel applied life saving measures.
The suspected person who hit the woman left the scene immediately
West 10th Avenue is closed from South Huntington Place to South Johnson Street for an investigation, per KPD.
