RICHLAND, Wash. – The City of Richland starts its 2024 pavement preservation project between Aaron Drive and Van Giesen Street on Mon., June 17 which will last until Wed., July 10.

The City will use Slurry Seal, a mixture of fine aggregate and emulsified asphalt, to extend the life of existing asphalt and protect it from water penetration and the sun. Slurry Seal application usually requires a one-day road closure.

The contractor, Doolittle Construction, LLC, will give notices to residents before work is done on their streets. No parking signs will be put in place prior to work taking place on the affected street.

For a weekly schedule and maps of the project, visit the City of Richland website.
