Classing Towing and company owner Jesse Lopez are under investigation by the Pasco Police Department for potential criminal activity.
The company was investigated last year for alleged criminal impersonation, extortion and theft, according to an October 2023 Pasco Police Facebook post.
Pasco Police now advises people to look out for guidelines towing companies are required to follow, according to a recent Facebook post. Requirements include businesses being open 24 hours a day for impounded vehicle purposes, certain posting requirements, the need to obtain an authorized signature at the time and place of impounding a vehicle and more.
According to the post, tow companies are required to follow these regulations a long list of more guidelines to ensure safety for themselves and the public.
Pasco Police are asking community members to reach out to Detective Taylor at taylora@pasco-wa.gov if a vehicle has been towed by Classing Towing, or if there are any concerns about the company.
