
PASCO, Wash. – Flames erupted from a second-story balcony at the Columbia Court apartment complex, prompting quick action from Franklin County Sheriff J.D. Raymond, Pasco Police said.
Police touted Sheriff Raymond’s 30 years of experience as a Pasco Police officer, swiftly calling in support from the Pasco Police Department to ensure resident safety.
Police said his prompt response, rooted in his deep ties to the community, ensured help arrived quickly, containing and extinguishing the fire efficiently.
Police issued a reminder to not to put out cigarettes in potted plants, as they can smolder for hours and ignite.
