PASCO, Wash.-Jesse Rice is the new Director of the Pasco Parks and Recreation Department.
“Jesse brings a unique combination of drive and innovation to the Parks & Recreation Department,” said Pasco City Manager Adam Lincoln. “His longstanding dedication to public service and his vision for community engagement make him an exceptional fit for this role.”
Rice has worked in several capacities within Pasco’s Technology Department for the past 25 years. He has been interim Administrative & Community Services (A&CS) Director since April of 2023.
According to a social media post from the City of Pasco, Rice’s appointment coincides with the rebranding of the Parks and Recreation Department.
The City’s former Administrative & Community Services Department is being rechristened as the Parks & Recreation Department to more accurately reflect what the department does according to the City.
The Parks and Recreation Department oversees park management, recreational programming, management of the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter and Downtown initiatives.
Pasco plans to begin recruiting for a new Information Technology Director in early 2024.
